Project fields

This page describes the available fields related to projects in Fusion Online. Many of these fields can be displayed as columns in project views and can also be found in the Project Details view. Additionally, we indicate which fields are available for sorting.

Add Date

  • Description: This is the date when the project was first added to or created in Fusion Online.

  • Available in: Project views

Automatic Schedule Update

  • Description: This setting allows you to specify a schedule to run automatic updates of the project. You can select the days of the week and the time of day for these updates.

  • Available in: Project Details (editable)

Badge

  • Description: Assign a badge color to the project, making it easier to distinguish in list views.

  • Available in: Project Details (editable)

Calendar

  • Description: The default calendar used by the project. You can modify the calendar in the Calendars tab.

  • Available in: Project views, Calendars (editable)

Check-in by

  • Description: The user who last checked in the project from Fusion Desktop.

  • Available in: Project Details

Check-in Date

  • Description: The date and time the project was last checked in from Fusion Desktop.

Credibility Profile

  • Description: The credibility profile selected for this project.

  • Available in: Project Details (editable)

Credibility Score

  • Description: The score generated during the most recent schedule update, based on the selected credibility profile.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details

  • Sortable: Yes

Criticality Ratio

  • Description: The criticality ratio for the priority endpoint of the project.

  • Available in: Project views

  • Sortable: Yes

Custom Fields

  • Description: Fields configured by the system administrator. Custom fields can be added as columns in project views and edited in Project Details.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details (editable).

  • Sortable: Yes.

Description

  • Description: A detailed project description, supporting formatted text, images, and attachments.

  • Available in: Project Details (editable)

Endpoints

  • Description: The total number of endpoints in the project.

  • Available in: Project views

  • Sortable: Yes

Finish Date

  • Description: The latest buffer end date or projected finish date of the latest task in the project.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details

  • Sortable: Yes

Is Template

  • Description: Indicates whether the project is a template.

  • Available in: Project Details (editable)

  • Filterable: Yes

Landing Zone Finish Date

  • Description: The finish date of the priority endpoint’s current landing zone, which is the range within which the project is expected to complete.

  • Available in: Project views

  • Sortable: Yes

Landing Zone Start Date

  • Description: The start date of the priority endpoint’s current landing zone.

  • Available in: Project views

  • Sortable: Yes

Last Schedule Update

  • Description: The date of the most recent schedule update.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details

  • Sortable: Yes

Microsoft Project Notes

  • Description: Plain text notes describing the project. This field synchronizes with Fusion Desktop, but the Description field is preferred if notes do not need to appear in Fusion Desktop. This field is hidden by default and can be enabled in Project Options.

  • Available in: Project Details (editable)

Organization

  • Description: The organization to which the project belongs. Can only be set when creating new project or adding a project from Fusion Desktop.

Priority Endpoint

  • Description: Displays data associated with the highest-priority endpoint of the project. If endpoint priorities have not been set, the latest endpoint is treated as the priority.

Program

  • Description: If the project is part of a program, this field shows the program name.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details (editable)

Project (abbreviation)

  • Description: A unique project abbreviation (1–5 characters) used as a prefix for task keys. This field is useful in list views to save space compared to the full project name.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details (editable)

Project (full name)

  • Description: The full name of the project, which must be unique.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details (editable)

  • Sortable: Yes

Project Groups

  • Description: Displays the groups to which the project belongs.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details (editable)

  • Sortable: Yes

  • Filterable: Yes

Project ID

  • Description: The unique Fusion Online database ID for the project, used primarily with the API.

  • Available in: Project views

  • Sortable: Yes

Project Managers

  • Description: Displays the project managers assigned to the project.

  • Available in: Project views, Project Details (editable)

  • Sortable: Yes

  • Filterable: Yes

Project State

  • Description: Displays the current state of the project. The possible states are:

    • OK

    • Deactivated: When a project is deactivated, its tasks, endpoints, and resources are hidden from all views, making the project and its associated data inaccessible in Fusion Online. Schedule updates cannot be run on deactivated projects. Typically, you would deactivate a project when it is no longer in use, such as after the project has been completed and access to its information is no longer required.

    • Deactivated Pending Update: Occurs when a project is added from Fusion Desktop but no schedule update has been run.

    • Locked by User

    • Running Update: A temporary lock during a schedule update.

    • Change Submitted: A check-in was submitted from Fusion Desktop, but the schedule update has not been run.

    • Orphaned Subproject: Occurs when a subproject is created, but its associated program does not exist in Fusion Online.

    • Unreferenced Subproject: Occurs when a subproject reference is removed, leaving the subproject no longer referenced by its program.

Project Type

  • Description: Specifies whether the project is a Project, Program, or Subproject.

  • Available in: Project views

Projected Finish Date

  • Description: The projected finish date of the priority endpoint.

  • Available in: Project views

  • Sortable: Yes

Start Date

  • Description: The start date of the project.

  • Available in: Project Details (editable)

Status Date

  • Description: The status date specified during the most recent schedule update. This date determines the starting point for load leveling and buffer insertion and updating.

Update Comment

  • Description: Comments entered during the most recent schedule update. You can edit update comments from previous updates in the Fever Charts view.

Customizing and saving your view
