Endpoints

The Endpoints tab within Project Details provides a focused endpoint view for the selected project, displaying only the endpoints associated with this specific project. This view includes the full functionality of a standard endpoint view, with some additional options for project-specific management.

Layout and customization

The Endpoints tab shares the same features as other endpoint views, including customizable columns and view settings. For information about general endpoint view features and customization options, visit the endpoint views documentation page.

Filters

In the Endpoints tab, you can view and manage endpoints for the current project. Standard filtering options are available to help you narrow down the list of endpoints:

  • Text search: Quickly find endpoints by name.

  • Status: Filter endpoints based on buffer status, such as Red, Yellow, Green, Completed, or Unbuffered.

  • Custom fields: If custom fields are defined for endpoints, you can filter by these fields as well, enabling advanced filtering options specific to your organization’s needs.

Switching to a chart view

You can switch from the table view to a chart view to visualize endpoint data in a Multi-Buffer Fever Chart.

For more details on the Multi-Buffer Fever Chart, refer to the chart view section in the endpoint view documentation.

Creating a new endpoint

To add an endpoint to the project, click the + create new endpoint link. This option allows you to define new project endpoints directly from the Endpoints tab within Project Details, streamlining project setup and endpoint management.

Prioritizing your endpoints

Endpoint priorities can be assigned for the project directly from the Endpoints tab. For more information on how these priorities influence task scheduling within the project, refer to the project scheduler and scheduling priorities documentation.

Prioritize Mode

You can prioritize endpoints using the Prioritize toggle button, located in the top-right corner. When this toggle is activated, the page enters Prioritize Mode, allowing you to set priorities for your endpoints.

Prioritize Mode toggle

In Prioritize Mode, the view is divided into two tables:

  • The top table displays endpoints that have been assigned priorities.

  • The bottom table contains all other endpoints without priorities.

Endpoints in Prioritize Mode

You can use drag-and-drop functionality to move endpoints between the two tables. Alternatively, you can click the pushpin next to each endpoint to set, change, or remove priorities. Priorities are rank-ordered, starting from 1 (the highest priority).

Once you have made your changes, click the Save button to apply your updated priorities.

Prioritizing from the action menu

In addition to Prioritize Mode, you can use the action menu in the Endpoint Name column to set endpoint priorities.

Set Endpoint Priority from the Endpoint Name action menu

If an endpoint already has a priority, it will be visible in the Endpoint Name column. Clicking on the priority icon in this column allows you to change or remove the priority.
