Calendars
The Calendars tab in the Project Details view displays a list of project calendars associated with the project. Calendars define availability for scheduling tasks: tasks are scheduled based on the default calendar’s availability, along with any assigned resource calendars if the tasks have specific resource assignments. Every project includes a default calendar, indicated by a DEFAULT badge next to the calendar name in the table.

Default calendar
The default calendar serves as the baseline for scheduling tasks, buffers, and resources. Tasks and resources will use this calendar unless assigned a different one. To change the default calendar, use the action menu in the Calendar column.

Creating a new calendar
Click the + create new calendar link at the top of the page to add a calendar. This opens a menu with two options:
New Calendar: Create a new calendar for the project.
Import Calendar: Import an existing system calendar. If a calendar with the same name already exists in your project, the imported system calendar will replace it.

Task and resource scheduling
The default calendar applies to tasks, buffers, and resources. You can also select a project calendar as a base calendar for any individual resource in the Resource Details view, where you can further customize the calendar by adjusting working hours or adding exceptions specific to that resource.
Columns and fields
The Calendars tab provides the following columns:
Calendar: Displays the name of each calendar. Click on the calendar name to open the Calendar Details view, where you can edit working hours and add exceptions.
Working Hours: Summarizes the working hours for each day of the week in the selected calendar.
No. of Exceptions: Shows the number of exceptions (such as holidays or unique schedules) defined for each calendar.
Action menu
The action menu is available in the Calendar column by clicking the menu icon next to the calendar name.
Set as Default Calendar: Sets the selected calendar as the default for the project. Only one calendar can be designated as the default at a time.
Copy: Creates a duplicate of the calendar within the project.
Delete: Removes the selected calendar from the project. Note that you cannot delete the default calendar; you must first set a different calendar as the default before deletion.
