Credibility Profiles

The Credibility Profiles page is located under the Setup section in the navigation menu and is only accessible to System Administrators. This page allows you to create and manage credibility profiles, which serve as scoring mechanisms to ensure that projects adhere to best scheduling practices.

Credibility Profiles assess various project metrics, such as the number of endpoints or updated tasks, and assign a score based on the selected parameters. These profiles help project managers maintain quality and consistency in their scheduling practices.

Credibility Profiles

How credibility profiles are used

When a credibility profile is assigned to a project (from the Project Details view), the profile is used every time you run an Update Schedule or Reschedule on the project. A Credibility Score is calculated based on the parameters defined in the selected profile. The score starts at 100, and deductions are made based on the project’s characteristics. If the score falls below the specified Warning Threshold, a warning icon will appear next to the score in the project view.

Creating and editing a profile

To create or edit a profile, follow these steps:

  1. Profile Name: Enter a unique name for the profile. This name will be used when assigning a profile to a project.

  2. Warning Threshold: Specify a score threshold below which a warning icon will be displayed next to the credibility score for the project.

  3. Deductions:

    • The Deductions section lists common project issues that can be included in the credibility scoring, such as excessive endpoints, outdated tasks, or separate networks.

    • For each deduction, you can configure:

      • Per Instance Deduction: The number of points to deduct for each instance of the issue.

      • Maximum Deduction: The maximum number of points that can be deducted for this issue.

Example: If you select the Endpoints (> 5) option with a Per Instance Deduction of 5 points and a Maximum Deduction of 10 points, the score will be reduced by 5 points for each endpoint beyond the first 5, but no more than 10 points in total for this specific deduction.
