My Endpoints

The My Endpoints view displays a list of endpoints that you have permission to access in Fusion Online, allowing you to efficiently manage and monitor endpoint progress. This view offers customizable options, including filters, columns, sorting, and an optional Gantt chart for visualizing projects over time.

Customizing and saving your view

The My Endpoints view offers several options for customization, allowing you to tailor the view to your specific needs. You can adjust filters, columns, sorting, and other display settings to better manage your endpoint list.

For an overview of how to customize views in Fusion Online, refer to the Navigating Fusion Online page, which covers the basics of view customization and how to save your changes.

Switching to a chart view

You can switch from the table view to a chart view to visualize endpoint data in a Multi-Buffer Fever Chart. This option allows you to see the status and buffer consumption of endpoints at a glance. To switch, click the Chart View button located at the top-right of the view.

Columns and fields

Endpoint fields that can be displayed in columns are described in the endpoint fields documentation.

Filters

Endpoint filters are described in the endpoint filters documentation.

Sorting

Endpoint views can be sorted with up to three levels of sorting. You can sort by any field that is marked as sortable in the endpoint fields documentation.

Action menu

The action menu is available in the Task Name column by clicking the menu icon next to the task name. It provides quick access to additional functionality:

Endpoint row action menu
  • View task details: Opens the Task Details page for the selected endpoint. Clicking on the task name will open the Task Details as well.

  • View impact chain: Opens the Impact Chain page for the selected endpoint, helping you understand the endpoint's dependencies.

  • View fever chart: Opens the Fever Chart page for the selected endpoint, allowing you to view the current and historical status.

  • View buffer history: Opens the Buffer History page for the selected endpoint, allowing you to view the historical status.

  • Set endpoint priority: Select this action to specify an endpoint priority. See endpoint priorities.

  • Convert to backlog task: This will convert the selected endpoint and its predecessors into backlog tasks. If this endpoint has a buffer, it will be permanently deleted along with all associated status points.

  • Change buffer size: Select this action to edit the buffer size associated with this endpoint.

Change Buffer Size
  • Rebuffer on next update: Select this action to generate a new buffer for the endpoint during the next schedule update. Once selected, the endpoint is marked for rebuffering, and on the next project schedule update, a new buffer will be created. If a buffer already exists, this action will reset the fever chart and adjust the buffer size to reflect the current dependencies.

  • Set critical task options: Select this action to set the Critical Task Options for the endpoint. You can only set these options if the scope is set to Per Endpoint for Critical Task Options in the Project Options dialog.

    • Endpoint Type: Choose between ASAP or Due Date for each endpoint.

    • Critical Chain Sensitivity: Define how many days off the critical chain a task can be while still being considered critical.

Critical Task Options
  • Delete buffer: Select this action to delete the buffer associated with this endpoint.

  • Delete endpoint: Select this action to delete the endpoint. You may delete an endpoint if it has no predecessors.

Gantt chart

Endpoint views support an optional Gantt Chart that displays the endpoints over time, aligned with the table view. The Gantt chart can be enabled or disabled based on your needs.

If the endpoint was scheduled but not buffered, the Gantt Chart will display a milestone icon on the endpoint's scheduled finish date.

Toggle the Gantt Chart on and off

For unbuffered endpoints, the Gantt Chart displays the scheduled finish date of the endpoint task as deadline.
