View and prioritize your tasks

The My Tasks view in Fusion Online helps you stay organized and focus on your assignments. This guide explains how to view, prioritize, and focus on your tasks effectively.

Sorting your tasks in priority order

By default, tasks in the My Tasks view are sorted by the Assignment Scheduler Order. This prioritization is determined automatically by the Assignment Scheduler, which considers factors like:

  • Task criticality.

  • Manual priorities (if set).

  • Expected completion dates of predecessor tasks.

Manual prioritization

While the scheduler’s order provides a strong starting point, you can override these priorities manually:

  1. Click on the Prioritize toggle button in the upper-right corner of the view to enable Prioritize Mode and drag the tasks up and down to rank them in the order that best aligns with your workflow.

  2. Save your changes to apply the updated priorities.

Assignment Start filter

Use the Assignment Start filter to refine the time horizon for the tasks displayed in your view:

  • Select a time horizon to show tasks expected to start within that period, based on the Assignment Scheduler.

  • Adjust the horizon to focus on short-term tasks or broaden it to plan for the long term.

Based on your availability and your task priorities, it is possible the Assignment Start may differ significantly from the Projected Start. Set the Assignment Start filter to a larger horizon if the task you were expecting to see is not listed.

Focus on a task

Set the Focus state for the task you’re currently working on:

  1. Click the Focus badge on the task. See the Update a task tutorial for more details on how to update the task state.

  2. The focused task will move to the top of the list when sorting by Assignment Scheduler Order to reflect that it is your top priority.

Only one task can be set to Focus at a time.
