Connect Fusion Desktop to Fusion Online

To move projects between Fusion Desktop and Fusion Online, you need to create a Connection Profile in Fusion Desktop.

If your Fusion Desktop license is managed through Fusion Online, this connection was established when you activated your license. Otherwise, you will need to manually set up the connection using the steps below.

If you do not have the necessary connection details, contact your Fusion Online administrator for assistance.

Set up a connection profile

  • Open Microsoft Project and click Schedule Manager in the Fusion ribbon. This opens the Fusion Desktop Schedule Manager.

  • Click the Fusion Online Connection Profile button, located to the right of the Fusion Online dropdown.

  • Click Edit Profiles….

  • In the pop-up window, click Add….

  • In the Profile box, enter:

    • A profile name of your choosing.

    • Your Fusion Online URL.

    • Click the checkmark button next to the URL to validate it.

  • Click Test Profile to verify the connection. A browser window will open where you must log in to Fusion Online.

  • Once authenticated, return to Fusion Desktop.

  • If the test is unsuccessful, double-check the URL or contact your system administrator to confirm the connection details.

  • Click OK to save the profile, then click OK again to exit.

Using the connection profile

  • The Fusion Desktop Schedule Manager allows you to upload and download projects.

  • In the right pane of the Schedule Manager, you will see all projects that you have permission to access in Fusion Online.
