Fusion Identity

Fusion Identity is the default identity provider that enables authentication for Fusion Online and other products within the Fusion Suite, such as the Fusion Portal. It streamlines access by allowing users to maintain a single identity across multiple instances of Fusion Online, whether within the same company or across different organizations.

Logging in to Fusion Online

When you attempt to access Fusion Online and you’re not already logged in, you will first see a landing page specific to your organization’s Fusion Online instance.

The Fusion Online landing page

The purpose of this landing page is to allow you to confirm that you're accessing the correct Fusion Online instance before proceeding with authentication.

The landing page is also configurable:

  • Your company logo can be displayed (configurable via the System Options page).

  • The page will also show the support contact email for your organization, which users can use to reach out for assistance with access or other issues. This email address is also configurable via the System Options page.

Clicking the Login button redirects you to Fusion Identity for authentication:

Once you successfully log in via Fusion Identity, you will be redirected back to Fusion Online to continue your session.

Creating a Fusion Identity account

If you don’t already have a Fusion Identity account, you can sign up directly from the login page. Simply click the Sign Up link. During sign-up, you’ll be required to confirm your email address by entering a confirmation code sent via email. This email confirmation is mandatory, regardless of the authentication method you choose.

Access denied

If you log in to Fusion Identity with an account that does not exist in the Fusion Online instance you are trying to access, you will be denied access. This happens when the email address associated with your Fusion Identity account does not match that of an active user in the Fusion Online instance.

On the Access Denied screen, you will have two options:

  • Try Again: Clicking this will take you back to the login screen, where you can log in using a different account.

  • Contact Administrator: If configured by the administrator, the Access Denied screen will display a link to the email address of the Fusion Online administrator. You can use this link to request access or inquire further about your account.

If you believe you should have access, please reach out to the administrator for assistance.

Supported authentication methods

By default, Fusion Identity supports the following authentication methods:

  • Email/Password

  • Google

  • Microsoft

Authentication methods can be enabled or disabled as needed by the Fusion Online administrators.

In addition to the default authentication methods (email/password, Google, and Microsoft), Fusion Online administrators can configure Single Sign-On (SSO) for their organization. Administrators can integrate their own Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, or Okta Domain to enable seamless SSO login for users.

For more information about how to configure authentication options, visit the authentication configuration documentation page.

Email address and authentication methods

In Fusion Identity, your email address serves as your unique identifier, regardless of which authentication method you use. This means that whether you log in using email/password, Google, Microsoft, or Okta, if the email address associated with those accounts is the same, Fusion Identity will recognize them as the same user account.

You can also use more than one authentication method with the same account. For example, you could log in with both your email/password and your Google account, as long as they share the same email address. From your Profile in Fusion Identity, you can view the authentication methods you’ve used to log in.

Account and profile management

Once you’re logged into Fusion Identity, your profile information—including your email, first name, last name, phone number, and profile picture—will be shared across all instances of Fusion Online that you have access to.

Fusion Identity also supports self-service features like the Forgot Password flow, allowing users to reset their passwords without needing administrator assistance.
